About us.

Open For All is very important for us.

Jimmy's Tennis was set up by Jim Barton in 2016, with the aim of making tennis as accessible, inclusive and enjoyable as possible - for everyone! An experienced tennis player himself, Jim is LTA grade 4 referee, LTA grade 3 accredited + coach and sits on the Kent LTA Council.

We are based at King's Sports Centre, Rochester, West Malling Parish Courts and Hundred of Hoo School but work from a number of satellite clubs in Mid Kent including Medway Park and numerous schools

Jimmy's tennis is known for it's Open For All Policy, we try to understand why you are with us and develop you from there, Well being, Disability, Fun, or wanting to play Tennis at a good level. Everybody is different and we support everybody. Jim is a core member of the LTA's Diversity and Inclusion programme and is used in case studies re the work that is offered.

Junior tennis, from mini - red beginner sessions, to developing player pathways for all ages and abilities, to participation in local, county and national events and tournaments.

Appreciating that serious competition is not for everyone, we pride ourselves on running many less formal events, for example family tournaments and fun days, tennis exhibitions and charity events. Fair-play and enjoyment for all at the heart of everything we do.

Jim is supported by a team of experienced and enthusiastic coaches and assistants. We are keen to support coach development and the development of those wanting to become involved in tennis, on or off court.
